5 Sensational Tech Gift Ideas

If there’s one thing I love more than getting gifts, it’s giving them, and for this festive season, I bought beautiful wrapping and ribbon weeks ago in anticipation, and have been giving much thought to the loved ones on my Chrismukkah shopping list.

Last week I wrote about the Brand Hubb items I’d love to see gifted to me (a girl, can dream, right?), and this week I’ve rounded up some awesome items that I think are perfect matches to my loved ones.

1. My 10-year-old son: Fujifilm INSTAX Mini 70 Red Combo (cam + case + 1 film)

An INSTAX is also on my list as I’d love to update from the original INSTAX I bought a few years ago, which is fun and awesome but doesn’t have as many features as this one.

I know my little dude would love this for taking selfies of him and his friends, and that instant thrill of getting a Polaroid picture.

Top features include a selfie mode, which provides the appropriate brightness and shooting distance for self-portraits, and a selfie mirror so you can check your framing with the mirror next to the lens. It has an automatic exposure control that captures bright backgrounds and bright subjects in dark scenes. It has a flash that automatically calculates the surrounding brightness and adjusts the shutter speed accordingly. There’s also a useful self-timer mode.

2. My husband: Apple Airpod Pros

I bought my husband the original Airpods last year, and the newer Pros are noise cancelling with a transparency mode so you can hear your surroundings. They also have a customizable fit. They have up to 4.5 hours of listening time with a single charge (up to five hours with active noise cancellation off). They also offer up to 3.5 hours of talk time with a single charge.

PS: Anyone who thinks Airpods look ridiculous probably hasn’t tried them. They really are awesome.

3. My toddler daughter: Disney Bluetooth Water Dancing Single Speaker

My little one loves Disney and she adores listening to music and music, so this Bluetooth speaker is a winner. It’s wireless and has a USB charging port, and I envisage many hours of me streaming Spotify playlists to the speaker.

4. My father-in-law: Western Digital My Book 3TB

My father in law takes a lot of photos, and while this might seem like the dullest gift, I think it will delight for him as he can safely store all his pictures here.

This hard drive has password protection and pairs with WD Backup or Apple Time Machine. You can set it to run automatically too, so that you never lose a thing.

5. My mom-in-law: Nutribullet - Blender Original 600W - Pink

I love my Nutribullet, and know how useful it is for making smoothies and blending soups, and know she will it find it as useful. While it looks great on kitchen counters, it’s also a whizz (see what I did there?) at breaking down ingredients into smooth concoctions.
